How it all started

I’ve traveled to quite a few places, and somehow the same thing keeps happening: strangers ask me for directions. Which train to catch. Where to grab coffee. How to get to that museum. It doesn’t matter if I’ve been there for two days or two hours — I get mistaken for a local. At some point, I started wondering why. Maybe it’s the way I wander with purpose. Or maybe it’s just curiosity without fear. Either way, that’s how Unexpectedly Local began.

I’m a guy who’s always chasing the next view — usually with my phone camera in hand. If there’s one thing that defines me, it’s that I simply don’t like staying home. I take every chance I get to travel, explore new places, and see the world from different angles. That’s what truly excites me.


It’s never been easier to travel, and adventure doesn’t have to come with a high price tag. I’ve always been captivated by the world around me — hunting for beautiful streets, tucked-away cafés, and inspiring museums. There’s an entire world waiting to be explored, and I don’t plan on missing any of it.
