ABOUT ME
I don't like staying home. I travel as much as I can and share everything I find along the way
Where did my passion for travelling start?
I can’t point to a single moment when it all began. Growing up, I was fascinated by different countries and their histories — and the more I learned, the harder it was to imagine staying in one place my whole life.
I didn’t actually travel much until after I graduated and got my first job. Before that, it just wasn’t affordable. But once I had my own money, the trips started — and they haven’t stopped since.
How do I travel?
One thing I always acknowledge — travel looks different depending on where you’re from, the passport you hold, and what you can afford. But here’s what I firmly believe: it doesn’t have to cost a fortune. It’s more accessible than ever, and I’m living proof of that.
I mostly fly, but whenever possible I take the train. It’s slower, sure — but far more enjoyable. For accommodation, I stick to Booking and Airbnb, though there’s no shortage of options out there.
The real skill is knowing how to book smart. Finding the right flights and accommodation at the right price is what makes or breaks a trip — and I’ll be sharing plenty of tips and tricks on exactly that.
Most importantly, I make a point of enjoying every single place I visit. Some cities will blow you away, others less so — but with the right mindset, there’s always something worth experiencing.
How did it change me?
Travel has a funny way of teaching you things without you even trying. After every trip, I came back a little more confident, a little more prepared, and a little more hungry for the next one. Over 30 countries later, I won’t say I’m an expert — but I’ve definitely figured out how this works.
What surprised me most wasn’t the logistics — it was everything else. The beauty I found in unexpected places. The people I met and somehow stayed in touch with. The realization that the world is so much richer than the small corner I grew up in.
Travel made me question things, learn things, and see myself more clearly. It’s hard to explain until you experience it.
And the best part? It hasn’t stopped changing me yet.
Why local?
Going ‘local’ doesn’t mean skipping the Eiffel Tower or the Sagrada Família. Please don’t skip those — they’re iconic for a reason, and there are countless other landmarks around the world just as worth your time.
But local means going beyond that. It means exploring what a city looks like once you step off the main boulevard — where the residents actually shop, which bakery the neighborhood swears by, how the metro works, and where to find that viewpoint nobody put on a poster.
That’s what makes a trip feel real. Not just seen, but truly experienced. And before you know it, you stop feeling like a tourist — and start feeling like you belong there.
And that’s exactly what this blog is all about.
